The Philippines continues to have one of the highest literacy rates in Southeast Asia, next to neighbors Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia. This proves that education remains a priority for Filipinos. But for those who are looking to pursue higher education, there’s one destination that’s long been known as a center of excellence with its cutting-edge technology, innovative methodologies, and high standard of quality: the European Union or the EU.
And if you’re interested to go on a life-changing educational adventure, your journey to the EU begins at the European Higher Education Fair or EHEF 2019.
This much-awaited education fair will be held on October 26 at the Grand Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City. EHEF 2019 will also have a roadshow on October 28 as it goes to the Lyceum University of the Philippines in General Trias, Cavite.
First Counsellor of the EU Delegation to the Philippines Rafael de Bustamante Tello and CHED Commissioner Aldrin Darilag will lead the opening ceremonies together with the heads of the EU member states and cultural groups.
EHEF 2019 will feature 49 universities and higher education institutions from 12 EU members states: Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden.

EHEF 2019 is designed to enable local students and educational groups to get quick yet comprehensive information on higher education and mobility programmes. Participants can learn more about the EU educational system and way of life through lectures and direct interaction with university and HEI representatives, EU Goodwill Ambassadors, alumni volunteers, and past Erasmus+ scholars. There will also be country presentations to showcase all the advantages of studying in the EU.
The EHEF 2019 is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, together with EU Member States’ Embassies and Cultural Groups, and in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and supported by venue partners Shangri-La Plaza, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite, and media partners: ANC, Business World Spark Up, Click the City, Philippine Business and News, Primer PH, Radyo Inquirer, Roots and Wings Online, and WhenInManila.com.
